Michigan Teacher Earns World Record After 67-Year Career

Beverly Hannett-Price walked into her classroom Monday expecting a normal day, but her students had other plans. The 90-year-old English teacher at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills, Michigan, received a surprise assembly where she was awarded a Guinness World Record for the longest career as a female language teacher.

Hannett-Price has spent 67 years doing what she loves most: teaching young people how to write and express themselves. She started in 1958 and has touched thousands of lives since then, shaping students who went on to extraordinary careers.
