Morocco Hosts Youth Football Camp With LaLiga and EA Sports
Nearly 900 young footballers worldwide will get professional training through a new program coming to Morocco in March 2026. LaLiga and EA SPORTS are bringing their talent development initiative to five countries, giving kids a path from local pitches to elite academies in Spain.
Young football players in Morocco are getting a rare shot at professional training when LaLiga and EA SPORTS bring their global youth program to the country this March.
The Next Gen Drafts program will run from March 27-29, 2026, in Morocco as part of EA SPORTS FC FUTURES, a worldwide initiative to discover and develop grassroots talent. Around 900 young players across Morocco, Mexico, Japan, Nigeria, and China will participate before the best advance to Spain for elite training.
The program starts with the FC Rush tournament, where kids compete in 5v5 matches while LaLiga scouts watch for technical skill, vision, and sportsmanship. Fifty players (25 boys and 25 girls) move forward to the FC Futures Academy for personalized coaching from UEFA PRO-Licensed LaLiga instructors.
From there, 32 players advance to compete in an 11v11 match against a local team. Scouts evaluate not just athletic ability but also teamwork, resilience, and commitment on the field.

Eight finalists (four boys and four girls) will earn the grand prize: a trip to Spain for the LaLiga Experience. They'll train with academy teams, play friendly matches, and get an inside look at how elite European clubs develop young talent.
The Ripple Effect
This program reaches far beyond the pitch. EA SPORTS FC FUTURES supports over 15 partner programs globally and has donated equipment to more than 10 countries. The organization also offers a free online library of training exercises so coaches everywhere can access professional development tools.
The initiative funds football pitch renovations in underserved communities across Spain, South Africa, Singapore, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. These upgraded fields give young people safe spaces to play and help football become a stronger force for good in neighborhoods that need it most.
Morocco's selection as a host country highlights the nation's rising role in global football development. The program gives Moroccan youth access to the same world-class training methods used by top European clubs.
For hundreds of young players, this represents more than just a tournament—it's a doorway to professional football and a chance to learn from the best in the game.
