Morocco Returns to Berlin's Green Week for 11th Year

Morocco is celebrating its 11th consecutive year at Berlin's International Green Week, bringing the flavors and traditions of its entire nation to Germany's capital through January 25.

Agriculture Minister Ahmed El Bouari inaugurated Morocco's national pavilion at the exhibition, which draws countries worldwide to showcase innovations in farming, food, and rural development. Germany's Federal Minister of Agriculture joined the ceremony, underscoring the international importance of the event.

The Moroccan pavilion tells a story of heritage and quality through 20 cooperatives representing all 12 of Morocco's regions. Visitors can explore authentic local products, watch culinary demonstrations, and experience cultural activities that celebrate Moroccan gastronomy and farming traditions.

Quality stands at the heart of Morocco's presentation. Every product meets international standards for food safety and traceability, reflecting traditional know-how passed down through generations while embracing modern safety practices.

Beyond the exhibition floor, Minister El Bouari used the week to strengthen international partnerships. He held talks with Poland's Agriculture Minister Stefan Krajewski and the UK's Minister for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Angela Eagle, discussing cooperation on food security, sustainable water management, and climate adaptation.

The meetings produced tangible results. Morocco and Poland signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance collaboration on animal health and the safety of animal products, building stronger ties between the two nations.
