NASCAR Driver Tyler Reddick Makes History With Third Win
Tyler Reddick just became the first NASCAR driver ever to win the season's first three races, making history for a team that recently won a major legal battle to secure its future. The 23XI Racing team, co-owned by basketball legend Michael Jordan, is proving unstoppable both on and off the track.
Tyler Reddick just drove straight into the NASCAR record books with a feat no driver has ever accomplished in the sport's 75-year history.
The 23XI Racing driver held off rival Shane van Gisbergen at Circuit of the Americas in Austin on Sunday to become the first Cup Series driver to win the season's first three races. Reddick won from pole position in the road course race after claiming victories at the Daytona 500 and Atlanta earlier this season.
"It's so fitting to get three in a row and make history," Reddick said after the win.
Michael Jordan, the basketball Hall of Famer who co-owns 23XI Racing, was trackside with the pit crew exchanging high-fives as Reddick crossed the finish line. The six-time NBA champion promised to attend the next race in Phoenix to see if Reddick can extend his winning streak.
The victory holds extra meaning for a team that has been making history off the track too. Just three months ago, 23XI Racing settled a federal antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR that secured a permanent franchise model and guaranteed the team's long-term future.

Since that legal victory, the team has been unbeatable on the racetrack.
The Ripple Effect
Jordan credited co-owner Denny Hamlin as the "mastermind" behind the team's racing success. Hamlin, who also drives for Joe Gibbs Racing, built 23XI into a powerhouse that's now redefining what's possible in NASCAR.
Reddick's commanding performance wasn't easy, even though he looked in complete control. Van Gisbergen, who won five of six road course races in 2025, stayed on Reddick's bumper for several laps but never found the pace to pass.
"Tyler was just amazing," van Gisbergen said after finishing second. "You're always disappointed with second when the expectations are so high."
Jordan, known for his clutch performances in basketball, recognized the same quality in Reddick's driving under pressure. "You see SVG coming back, you get a little nervous, but I think he had him covered the whole day," Jordan said.
The historic win has given Reddick a commanding 70-point lead in the drivers' championship with the season just beginning. His 11th career victory was also his second at COTA, marking the first time he's won multiple races at the same track.
Three races down, and this team co-owned by the greatest basketball player ever is showing that their winning legacy extends far beyond the court.
