Nephew Donates Liver to Uncle Who Raised Him After Loss

When Devanshu Srivastav was nine years old, his father passed away, leaving him and his younger brother without guidance in their small hometown of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. His uncle Rajesh Kumar Srivastav made a promise that day: "I will take care of you."

Rajesh kept that promise in ways that went far beyond words. He brought Devanshu to Lucknow when the boy developed an autoimmune condition that made walking difficult, covering three months of treatment and all medical expenses.

When Rajesh noticed Devanshu struggling academically without proper resources, he moved his nephew to Lucknow permanently in 2011. The change opened doors to better schools and opportunities that weren't available in their ancestral home.

Through the years, Rajesh funded Devanshu's education, provided shelter, and offered the guidance a growing boy desperately needed. He showed up not because of obligation, but because he chose to be a father when Devanshu needed one most.

Then the roles reversed. Rajesh's health deteriorated as liver failure set in, and he needed a transplant to survive. Without hesitation, Devanshu stepped forward as his donor.
