Nigerian Troops Dismantle Terrorist Camp, Seize Weapons

Nigerian military forces just dealt a major blow to criminal networks threatening communities in Benue State, dismantling a terrorist camp and recovering a significant weapons cache.

Troops from Operation Whirl Stroke raided a hideout in Mtan Village, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, after receiving intelligence about a notorious criminal kingpin and his associates operating in the area. The armed group fled during a fierce firefight, leaving behind their weapons and equipment.

The recovery included over 200 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, eight magazines, and two motorcycles. Soldiers also demobilized a Toyota vehicle to prevent its use in future criminal activities.
