Nigerian University Adds 12 Programs in Education Boost

Sa'adu Zungur University in Bauchi State, Nigeria, has secured approval to launch 12 new undergraduate and postgraduate programs, creating fresh opportunities for students across the region.

The National Universities Commission gave the green light in June 2026 after thoroughly evaluating the university's facilities, teaching staff, library resources, and laboratories. The new programs will welcome their first students in the 2026/2027 academic session.

The approved undergraduate programs span education, law, and social sciences, including degrees in Arabic Education, Hausa Education, Islamic Studies, Sharia Law, Social Work, Agricultural Science Education, Human Kinetics, and Health Education. Graduate students will gain access to new advanced degrees in Educational Management, Business Administration, Law, and Sociology.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Fatimah Tahir celebrated the news as proof of the university's commitment to academic excellence and meeting national education standards. She emphasized that these programs will equip graduates with skills to tackle real challenges facing Nigeria and the world.
