NJ Students Launch Free STEM Night With NASA Engineer

High school students in Robbinsville, New Jersey are opening doors to the aerospace industry for their entire community, one free event at a time.

Robbinsville High School's Rocketry and Aerospace Club will host STEM Innovation Night on Friday, May 29th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the high school commons. The completely free event features a speaker panel with aerospace professionals, a NASA engineer, and an Ivy League student who will share career advice and real-world experience.

Club President Sahasra Kolluru and her team designed the evening to give attendees direct access to industry experts. Students and community members can ask questions, build professional connections, and learn about careers that haven't been easily accessible in their area before.

"It's my way of giving back to the community by giving students and younger kids the opportunity to feel inspired," Kolluru explained. She and her club members organized the entire event themselves, handling everything from booking speakers to coordinating the pitch contest.
