Niklas Jonsson, who won silver in the 50km race at the 1998 Winter Olympics, has been named the new national team manager for Sweden's cross-country skiing program. The Swedish Ski Association announced his appointment after finalizing their national team groups for the 2026/2027 season.

Jonsson brings a rare combination of firsthand Olympic experience and proven leadership skills to the position. He's also a trained economist who spent two decades in business leadership roles, managing teams and strategic development.
