Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS is inviting volunteers of all ages to help clean the shoreline from Cape Lookout State Park to Cape Meares on September 19. The afternoon event starts at noon with check-in at the Schooner Restaurant, where participants can grab buckets, gloves, and trash grabbers before heading to the beach.
Marina Dreeben, WEBS Stewardship Coordinator, says the fall cleanup is the perfect opportunity for families and friends to give back. "Volunteers of all ages will find the beach cleanup fun, educational, and rewarding," she said.
The Netarts-Oceanside area remains one of Oregon's quieter coastal gems. This tiny stretch of shoreline, just over a mile long, includes the small village of Oceanside, Netarts Bay, and the even tinier Happy Camp community.
WEBS has partnered with SOLVE for decades to support volunteer stewardship along Oregon's coast. Their work helps keep these beaches accessible and beautiful for everyone who visits.
