Oriane Bertone Climbs Historic V15 Boulder in France

French climbing prodigy Oriane Bertone just proved once again that sheer determination can unlock impossible athletic feats. The powerhouse athlete conquered The Big Island, becoming the first woman in history to complete the legendary boulder problem in Fontainebleau, France.

The Big Island ranks among the most celebrated and physically demanding V15 test pieces on earth. Bertone mastered the steep, sloping sandstone feature in just five sessions, squeezing her practice between grueling international competitions.

Her historic ascent arrived hot on the heels of a gold-medal performance at the Climbing World Cup in Salt Lake City. Bertone applied razor-sharp precision and flawless body tension to conquer a line that has tested the world's strongest climbers for decades.

The young athlete unlocked every single move during her very first visit to the boulder. By her fifth session, she glided through the entire complex sequence on her first attempt of the day.

Bertone has rewritten the record books since she first touched a climbing wall. At just 12 years old, she became the youngest climber ever to conquer a V14 boulder.

Her career has skyrocketed ever since, bringing World Cup victories, European championship titles, and a spot at the Paris Olympic Games. Through every milestone, Bertone approaches high-stakes challenges with infectious enthusiasm and absolute focus.

Why This Inspires

Bertone reminds us that world-class excellence thrives on curiosity and passion. Instead of shrinking before colossal challenges, she meets them with playful confidence and unwavering self-belief.

Her trailblazing ascent expands what is possible for women in outdoor sports and invites the next generation to dream even bigger.

With her sights already focused on new horizons, Bertone continues to show the world that barriers exist only until someone decides to climb past them.
