Rapper Rescues Stranded Nurse in Northeast Snowstorm

Brooklyn rapper J.I The Prince of N.Y rescued a stranded nurse from a snow-buried car along Interstate 95 during last weekend's dangerous Northeast snowstorm, pulling over in whiteout conditions after spotting her waving from a window.

The nurse had been stuck since 8 AM on Monday, her car half-buried on the shoulder. She called police and roadside assistance, but no help arrived.

Meanwhile, Rivera (the rapper's real name) and his team were driving home to New York after weekend performances in Boston and Providence. Heavy snow blanketed the largely unplowed highway as they crawled through near-zero visibility.

They drove 45 minutes without seeing another vehicle. Then Rivera spotted something: a white car on the shoulder and a woman waving through an open window.

Their SUV passed her at first because of the poor visibility. The team reversed and headed back down the empty highway to check on her.

Crew members jumped out and dug away snow from the driver's side door to free her. After learning she'd been stranded for hours with no rescue coming, Rivera and his team drove her directly home and walked her safely inside.

She offered to pay them. They declined.
