Rescuers Race to Free Stranded Whale off German Coast

A young humpback whale fighting for survival off Germany's northern coast has sparked an urgent rescue mission that's bringing together marine experts and specialized equipment.

The 10-meter whale became stranded on a sandbank near Niendorf beach in Schleswig-Holstein on Monday. Its back remains visible above the waterline, and rescuers can hear its haunting calls from hundreds of meters away.
