Rowan Upsets Undefeated #1 Virginia Wesleyan 3-2

When you're facing a team that hasn't lost a single game all season, you need your best player to deliver her best performance. Emily McCutcheon did exactly that for Rowan University on Thursday in Salem, Virginia.

The eighth-seeded Profs shocked the softball world by knocking off number one Virginia Wesleyan, handing the Marlins their first loss after an incredible 50-game winning streak. McCutcheon, a three-time NFCA All-American, dominated for seven innings, holding Virginia Wesleyan hitless through five and allowing just two hits total.
