Rugby Club Makes History With Third Straight League Title

A small rugby club from North Yorkshire has just rewritten its record books, becoming the first team in its long history to capture three straight league titles.

North Ribblesdale Rugby Club secured their third consecutive championship on Saturday with a commanding 24-14 victory at Burnage. The win was even sweeter because they only needed a single point to clinch the title but delivered a complete performance instead.

The visitors controlled the match from the opening whistle. Flanker Edward Bradley scored first, diving on a loose ball to put his team ahead early, with Tom Davidson adding the conversion.

Scrum-half Callum Mathew doubled the lead with a beautifully executed try involving teammates Jim Mallalieu-Black and John Padley. North Ribblesdale took a comfortable 14-0 advantage into halftime thanks to rock-solid defense.

The second half brought more excitement when winger Ben Coultherd intercepted a pass and sprinted downfield. Though he was tackled just short of the try line, centre Will Garner was there to finish the score.
