Runaway Peacock Dave Becomes UK Village's AI Meme Star

When Dave the peacock flew the coop from his home in Claybrooke Magna, Leicestershire, nobody expected he'd become the village's most beloved celebrity.

The runaway bird spent six weeks touring the neighboring countryside before settling into Broughton Astley. "It's just mad really, all the attention Dave's gotten," said his owner Alex Robinson, who watched her bird's rise to fame with a mix of amusement and amazement. "Even our local riding school has put up memes of him."

The AI-generated images went viral across social media. Residents created hilarious pictures of Dave eating burgers, playing violin, and even operating a helicopter. His TikTok account, cheekily named "Only Dave's Fans," brought his travels to a global audience.

Villagers tracked Dave's movements across gardens and near local shops like amateur wildlife documentarians. A dedicated Facebook group became the command center for sightings, transforming into an unexpected hub of community connection.

But Dave didn't leave home alone. Two other peacocks, Glenda and Kenneth, also went missing and remain at large. While Dave basked in his newfound fame, his companions apparently preferred a quieter retreat in nearby fields, content to let Dave handle the publicity.
