"The panel found after viewing all the available footage and interviewing concerned parties, Hollingsworth's appeal was upheld," Australian Athletics confirmed in a statement.

This decision means more than just a title for the young athlete. Hollingsworth now appears set to claim one of three spots on Australia's team for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this July, where she'll compete in the one mile event.

Hull, despite the disappointing fall, should still secure a spot given her status as an Olympic silver medallist. She's withdrawn from the 800m after pulling up sore but plans to contest the 5,000m tomorrow.
