Modern electric RV trailer with solar panels deployed while parked at scenic camping location

RV Trailer Gets 2kW Solar Panels and 45kWh Battery

Mind Blown

A new electric travel trailer launching in 2027 can power itself with solar panels and even send electricity back to your home. The Pebble Flow trailer partners with Jackery to create a mobile home that never needs to plug in.

Imagine camping off-grid for weeks without ever worrying about running out of power. That dream just got closer to reality with a new solar-powered RV trailer hitting the market in 2027.

California-based Pebble has partnered with portable power maker Jackery to create the Pebble Flow, an electric travel trailer that can harness the sun for all its energy needs. The optional solar package adds 2 kilowatts of charging power when parked, feeding directly into the trailer's massive 45 kilowatt-hour battery.

That's enough storage to run lights, appliances, air conditioning, and everything else you need for comfortable camping. Even better, the system can export up to 12 kilowatts of power back to your home, another RV, or even charge your electric vehicle.

The partnership brings together two companies focused on energy independence. Jackery spent years perfecting portable backup batteries for homes and outdoor adventures, while Pebble designed trailers for the modern camping experience.

"We didn't want to just put two logos on a product," said Bingrui Yang, CEO and founder of Pebble. "Jackery has spent years building portable power that people count on, both at home and outdoors."

The solar package includes four high-efficiency 500-watt panels that deploy when you park. They connect straight into the trailer's electric microgrid through extension cables and a connection junction. The entire system can handle up to 4 kilowatts of combined solar input.

The Ripple Effect

This technology represents more than just convenient camping. As climate-conscious travelers look for ways to explore nature without leaving a carbon footprint, solar-powered RVs offer a practical solution that actually works.

The system also doubles as emergency backup power for your home. During power outages, that 45 kilowatt-hour battery could keep essential appliances running for days, then recharge itself from the sun.

The solar package costs $4,000 on top of the trailer's $189,000 base price for the 2027 Founder Edition. Hardware begins shipping in December 2026, giving adventure seekers just over a year to start planning their off-grid road trips.

Freedom, sustainability, and home comfort are finally coming together on four wheels.
