Ryanair Brings 450 Jobs to Prestwick Airport in £40M Deal

Scotland is getting a major economic boost as Ryanair announces 450 new engineering jobs at Prestwick Airport, cementing the region's future as an aerospace powerhouse.

The Irish airline is investing £40 million to expand its maintenance facility in South Ayrshire, adding a massive four-bay hangar that will house heavy aircraft maintenance. The expansion will nearly double the site's capacity from six bays to 10, making it Ryanair's largest maintenance hub anywhere in Europe.

The new facility will create 450 highly-skilled positions for engineers and mechanics, plus 60 apprenticeships for young people starting their careers. These aren't temporary gigs. They're long-term skilled jobs that will support families and communities across Ayrshire for decades to come.
