Saint Lucia Resort Opens Free Preschool for Employees

Fifteen preschoolers in Saint Lucia crossed a graduation stage this month wearing caps and gowns, but their story represents something much bigger than a typical ceremony.

The children graduated from the Sandals Early Childhood Learning and Development Centre, a free preschool created by Sandals Resorts exclusively for employees' families. The graduation ceremony at Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort brought together proud parents, many of them resort employees, to celebrate their children's achievements. Parent Tamara Joseph called enrolling her child "one of the best decisions we made for our family," praising the teachers' love and patience.

But the real proof of the program's success came from an unexpected source. The center's first graduating class, which moved on to local elementary schools last year, is now performing exceptionally well in their new classrooms.

Regional Public Relations Manager Sunil Ramdeen sees the center as an investment that creates lasting value for generations. "Seeing these children grow in confidence, curiosity and character" reminds the company why supporting employees and their families matters, he said.
