Saudi Airline Builds $53M Pilot Training Hub in Riyadh

Saudi Arabia's flynas airline just announced plans for a massive training center that will train hundreds of pilots and cabin crew members every single day.

The airline is investing over $53 million to build the 140,000-square-foot facility in Riyadh, scheduled to open in 2028. Located less than 10 minutes from King Khalid International Airport, the center will have capacity to train around 700 people daily.

The facility will start with three advanced flight simulators and room to expand to 14 as demand grows. It will also include comprehensive equipment for safety and service training, giving flynas the ability to handle most of its training in-house rather than sending crews abroad.

"The training center reaffirms flynas' commitment to investing in the development of national talent for specialized roles in the aviation sector," said Bander Almohanna, the airline's CEO. The project partners include global aviation leaders Airbus and CAE alongside local companies.
