Saudi Arabia Raises $468M for Charity During Ramadan

Saudi Arabia's sixth national charity campaign just wrapped up its most successful Ramadan yet, collecting over $468 million through more than 26 million individual donations. The Ehsan digital platform made it possible for people across the Kingdom to support healthcare, education, and social welfare programs with just a few taps on their phones.

The campaign launched during Ramadan with backing from Saudi leadership, who contributed $18.6 million to kickstart the effort. That early momentum helped inspire millions of citizens to give what they could, creating a wave of generosity that more than tripled the initial donation.

Beyond the Ramadan campaign, the platform's long-term Ehsan Endowment Fund has now surpassed $533 million in total donations. The fund grew 20 percent in 2025 alone and generated over $12.8 million in investment returns that support more than 2,400 charitable associations nationwide.
