Saudi Arabia Trains 1,100+ Esports Careers Since 2023

Saudi Arabia is opening doors for young gamers to transform their passion into real careers, and the numbers prove it's working.

The Saudi Esports Federation just partnered with the country's Entertainment and Event Management Academy to create even more pathways for aspiring gaming professionals. Since launching in August 2023, the SEF Academy has already graduated more than 1,100 participants who've received training in everything from competitive gaming to event production.

The collaboration will offer specialized training sessions, workshops, and internships led by esports professionals and event management specialists. Students won't just learn theory. They'll gain hands-on experience that prepares them for actual jobs in the rapidly growing gaming sector.

Rawan AlButairi, CEO of the Saudi Esports Federation, says the partnership bridges the gap between talent and opportunity. The goal is simple: give young people the skills they need and connect them with careers that didn't exist a generation ago.

Dr. Eihab Abourokbah leads SEEMA, the first accredited entertainment academy in the Middle East. He sees esports as a sector full of extraordinary career opportunities for Saudi youth, from game design and broadcasting to tournament management and digital marketing.
