Amit Anand and his sister Arpita Singh both became government officers within the same week, a first for their region. Their journey started with heartbreak when they lost their father at a young age, leaving their family struggling financially.

On June 12, Amit learned he'd been selected as a Probationary Officer in the banking sector through the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. The family barely had time to celebrate before June 20 arrived with more stunning news.

That's when Arpita's results came through. She'd cleared the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission Combined Competitive Examination and secured a position as a Block Panchayati Raj Officer.

According to local records, no other siblings from Hajipur have become government officers at nearly the same time. The achievement carries extra weight in India, where government positions offer stability and prestige that can lift entire families.

Amit is currently training as a Bank PO in Pune, hundreds of miles from home. Arpita is preparing to start her role serving rural communities as a Block Panchayati Raj Officer in Bihar.
