Once airborne and moving forward, the wings generate lift and a rear propeller takes over for thrust, allowing it to fly like a conventional airplane. About 30 research engineers at NTU worked for more than three years alongside students and partners from 11 countries to make this happen. They designed everything from the electric motor and airframe to the propulsion, avionics, electrical systems, and flight controls.
