Singapore Kids Turn Voices Into Stickers With New AI Toy
A Singapore company just launched a pocket-sized printer that lets kids speak their wildest ideas and watch them transform into stickers they can color and customize. The S$119 device puts creative AI technology directly into children's hands while keeping safety front and center.
Kids in Singapore can now turn "a dancing dinosaur in pajamas" from imagination into reality with just their voice.
myFirst, a local children's tech company, launched Insta magiBox this week, a voice-powered AI printer that transforms spoken ideas into black-and-white sticker illustrations. Children describe what they want, the device generates the artwork, and within 30 seconds, they're holding a physical sticker ready for coloring and decorating.
The S$119 gadget targets the sweet spot between digital creativity and hands-on play. After the AI generates their design on a 2.8-inch screen, kids can grab markers and add their own artistic touches, turning printed outlines into personalized creations for notebooks, cards, and craft projects.
Beyond single images, children can create four-scene illustrated stories from one spoken idea, building narratives without typing a single word. The device recognizes 26 languages, including English, Mandarin, Malay, Indonesian, Hindi, and Filipino, so kids can create in whatever language feels natural.
Safety measures run throughout the system. Built-in filters screen every spoken request before generating images, and if something raises red flags, the device displays "Oops! Try another idea" instead of creating problematic content. Parents can monitor creations through the myFirst Circle app and retrieve earlier artwork through a History feature.

"AI can provide a starting point, but we want children to decide what happens next," said G-Jay Yong, myFirst's founder and CEO. The approach deliberately keeps the creative power with kids rather than letting technology do all the work.
The Bright Side
This device represents something rare in children's technology: AI that enhances creativity rather than replacing it. While many AI tools finish the creative process for users, Insta magiBox intentionally stops halfway, printing just outlines that need human imagination to complete.
The physical element matters too. In an age of endless screen time, giving kids something tangible to hold, color, and share brings digital creativity into the real world where friends and family can experience it together.
Each full charge supports 120 prints, and official sticker rolls come free of harmful chemicals like BPA and BPS. Available in Aqua Blue and Blossom Pink from Popular Bookstores and Takashimaya, each package includes the printer, five sticker rolls, interchangeable covers, and eight colored markers.
Young creators in Singapore now have a new tool that treats AI as a creative partner, not a replacement for imagination.
