Singapore Launches AI Cybersecurity Bootcamp and Certification

CompTIA and SGInnovate announced a partnership that creates a clear path from classroom to career in AI and cybersecurity. The program launches with a free CyberReady+ Bootcamp designed for people with little to no tech background.

The timing couldn't be better. AI and cybersecurity job postings in Singapore jumped 44% from 2024 to 2025, according to Deep Tech Central's platform data. Applications surged even faster at 65%, but here's the catch: only one in five applicants had the right skills.

That gap inspired CompTIA to create SecAI+, the world's first certification focused on securing AI systems. The course teaches professionals how to defend against AI-powered attacks, meet compliance standards, and safely automate security operations.

SGInnovate, a government-backed innovation hub, will host the certification program on its Deep Tech Central platform. This means students can access training, earn credentials, and browse hundreds of tech jobs all in one place.

The partnership targets mid-career professionals looking to switch fields, recent graduates, and anyone curious about cybersecurity. No prior tech experience is required for the foundation level.
