Singer Aims for World Record: 50 States in 30 Days

A Nashville singer-songwriter is racing across America with nothing but a guitar, a dream, and 30 days to make history.

Nordista Freeze is attempting to break a world record by performing live concerts in all 50 states in one month. On Monday night, he hit state number 25 at Duffy's Tavern in Lincoln, Nebraska, marking the halfway point of his extraordinary journey.

The pace is relentless. Freeze had already played a noon show in Davenport, Iowa that same day. Some days require him to perform up to three concerts in different states, each requiring hours of driving between venues.

"I definitely feel like the hardest part is still in front of us," Freeze said after his Lincoln performance. "I feel like I just gotta keep taking it day by day."

Despite the grueling schedule, Freeze isn't traveling alone in spirit. Members of Omaha band Uh Oh joined him on stage Monday night, opening the show before returning for an encore of The Beatles' "With a Little Help From My Friends." The song choice felt perfectly fitting.

Even on a rainy Monday evening, dedicated fans showed up to be part of music history. That support has become the tour's most meaningful surprise for Freeze.

"I'm sincerely blown away by how well it's going and how supportive everyone's been," he said. "It's amazing to get to see your friends who live all across the country. It's overwhelming to be honest with you, so it is like so overwhelmingly sweet."

Freeze found many of his venues through social media recommendations from locals who know their towns best. When he asked for Nebraska suggestions, Duffy's Tavern came up repeatedly in direct messages.

Why This Inspires

Freeze's journey proves that ambitious dreams don't require massive budgets or corporate backing. Armed with talent, determination, and help from friends across the country, he's turning an impossible-sounding goal into reality one performance at a time.

His approach also celebrates overlooked places. "This is the kind of thing I'm into, is like playing everywhere, and kind of going places where people think, oh, people don't normally come here," Freeze explained.

If successful, Freeze will shatter the current record of 50 states in 35 days, held by Irish band The Black Donnellys. His tour concludes May 31 in Kauai, Hawaii.

And after accomplishing what most would consider a once-in-a-lifetime achievement? Freeze plans to keep playing. "I will never take a break," he said. "I'm gonna be in Hawaii for like three days, but then I'm gonna hit the road again, actually like immediately following that."
