"It's a scary thing and a lot of us women deal with it, and no one really talks about it," Polizzi explained in her Instagram video. "So I'm here to give that platform for all of us ladies."

The video shows the full emotional range of a major medical procedure. Polizzi admitted she started "hysterically bawling" right before surgery, scared about going under and losing multiple organs. The doctors removed her uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, and portions of her vagina to ensure they got all the cancer.

But she kept her sense of humor throughout. After doctors told her most patients only count to three before the anesthesia kicks in, Polizzi proudly made it to 10. She joked about wishing they'd given her the calming medication 20 minutes earlier to ease her anxiety.

The mother of three didn't sugarcoat the recovery process. "I told you guys in general I'm not good with pain," she said from her hospital bed. But even through tears, she stayed focused on the silver lining: no more periods, no more birth control, and hopefully, no more cancer.
