South Africa Secures 1M Vaccines to Fight Disease Outbreak

South Africa's farmers are about to get the help they desperately need as one million foot-and-mouth disease vaccines arrive to combat one of the country's worst livestock outbreaks in years.

The numbers tell a grim story of the outbreak's economic impact. Slaughter numbers dropped 5% between August and November, while beef exports plummeted 26% from June through the same period.
