Southampton Celebrates 75 Years of Welcoming Refugees

Southampton is throwing a party this weekend to celebrate something that matters: its long history of welcoming people who need a safe place to call home.

On Sunday, July 12th, the city will host a Unity in the Community march honoring refugees past, present, and future. The event marks 75 years since the United Nations Refugee Convention defined what it means to be a refugee and how countries should offer sanctuary to those fleeing danger.
