Stranger Saves Driver From Burning Car in Tennessee Crash

When a car crashed into a ditch and burst into flames Tuesday morning in Meigs County, Tennessee, one stranger refused to keep driving.

Emergency crews received the call around 11:00 a.m. reporting a driver trapped inside a burning vehicle. But before firefighters could arrive, a passing motorist stopped and pulled the driver to safety.

By the time first responders reached the scene, the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames. The car sat in a ditch off the roadway, fire spreading dangerously close to a nearby pasture.

The rescued driver received treatment at the scene before being airlifted to a local hospital by Life Force helicopter. Their current condition has not been released.

Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading into the surrounding grassland. The vehicle was destroyed, but the pasture was saved.
