Sudan Reports Zero Cholera Deaths in Major Health Win

Sudan is celebrating a major public health milestone as the nation records zero cholera deaths for several consecutive weeks, a remarkable achievement for a country that has faced serious disease outbreaks in recent years.

The Emergency Operations Center confirmed the news in its latest health report for January 2026. While a few isolated cholera cases appeared in North Kordofan State and at Tawila camp, all cases remain under active surveillance and control with no fatalities recorded.
