Swift and Kelce Donate $26M Before Wedding
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are celebrating their upcoming wedding by giving $26 million to 20 charities across America. The donations will help feed millions of people this summer when need is highest.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are turning their wedding week into a celebration of giving that will feed millions of Americans.
The couple donated $26 million to 20 organizations across the country just days before their planned wedding at Madison Square Garden. The donations reached communities from New York to Missouri, focusing on areas that hold special meaning in their lives.
One million dollars went to City Harvest, New York City's largest food rescue organization. CEO Jilly Stephens called it "a love letter to New York" that comes when soup kitchens and food pantries are seeing near-record visitor numbers.
The timing matters. Federal funding cuts have increased demand for food assistance across the country, and summer often brings the highest need as children lose access to school meals.

City Harvest says their donation alone will provide food to more than 2.4 million New Yorkers this summer. That's roughly one in every three city residents getting help during the hardest months.
Rhode Island received another $1 million for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. CEO Melissa Cherney told reporters the call felt like "our wildest dreams come true," borrowing from one of Swift's song titles.
The Rhode Island donation will feed over 90,000 people, including 500 children who receive meals five days a week through summer programs. Cherney emphasized the money will ensure "kids are going to bed with full bellies."
The Ripple Effect
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank received $1 million that will provide approximately four million meals. Chief Development Officer Roger Castle said staff were "super excited that this is the way Travis and Taylor are celebrating their love story."
The remaining $23 million spread across 17 other organizations in Tennessee (where Swift grew up), Ohio (Kelce's home state), Pennsylvania, and Kansas City, Missouri (where Kelce plays for the Chiefs). Each location represents a chapter in their personal stories.
These donations arrive when they're needed most, turning a private celebration into public good that will ripple through communities all summer long.
