T-Mobile Honors First Responders at 25 Stores Nationwide
T-Mobile and First Responders Children's Foundation are celebrating heroes who serve our communities with events at 25 stores nationwide and a Times Square ceremony hosted by Jon Stewart. The initiative includes $125,000 in funding for first responder families and mental health support.
When first responders run toward danger, their families stand behind them with quiet courage. Now T-Mobile and First Responders Children's Foundation are making sure both get the recognition they deserve.
Starting October 24, 25 T-Mobile stores across America will host appreciation events for local first responders. Neighbors can stop by between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for free food, games, and a chance to thank the heroes in their communities. Gratitude Walls will let people leave personal messages of thanks, while emergency vehicle displays give kids an up-close look at the tools that save lives.
The celebration continues October 28 in Times Square, where Jon Stewart returns to host the Roll Call of Heroes ceremony for the second year. Nineteen first responders from across the country will be honored, including firefighters, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, and law enforcement officers.
This year's honorees include Paramedic Chris Rauzi from Colorado, who went above and beyond in emergency medical services, and Firefighter Jason Horne from Texas. Explorer Sergeant Christopher Alvarado, a junior first responder from Oakland, shows that heroism starts young. Jenny Smith, a 911 dispatcher from Florida, represents the often unseen heroes who guide us through our worst moments.
Five fire chiefs from Spokane will receive the Natural Disaster Response Award for their collective response to the 2026 Spokane Complex Fires. Their coordination saved lives and protected entire communities when nature turned hostile.

The Ripple Effect
T-Mobile's $125,000 contribution to First Responders Children's Foundation goes beyond recognition. The funding provides scholarships for first responders' children, mental health counseling for families dealing with trauma, and direct support to agencies facing resource gaps. Since its founding 25 years ago, the foundation has supported thousands of families who sacrifice daily so others can live safely.
"First responders are there for us during some of the hardest moments of our lives, and I think it's important that we show up for them, too," said Jon Stewart.
The ceremony marks three meaningful milestones: the foundation's 25th anniversary, 25 years since 9/11, and America's 250th birthday. Anyone can join the celebration by livestreaming the event at 1stRCF.org/NFRD.
Jillian Crane, President and CEO of First Responders Children's Foundation, explained why this matters. "The people we honor aren't looking for recognition. They're focused on doing their jobs, saving lives, and taking care of their communities," she said. "By recognizing their service it means so much to the children and families who stand behind them."
When we celebrate first responders, we celebrate the best of what communities can be.
