Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Donate $26M to Charities

Love was in the air this July 4th weekend, and so was an incredible wave of generosity that's changing lives across America.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL champion Travis Kelce donated $26 million to various charities ahead of their wedding at Madison Square Garden. The couple's gifts supported causes ranging from children's hospitals to food banks, animal shelters to music education programs.

Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City received a substantial donation that will bring more comfort and joy to young patients and their families. "Friendship bracelets, end-zone dances and a whole lot of gratitude," the hospital wrote on Instagram, adding that they're now "in our grateful era."

The ASPCA thanked the cat-loving couple with a photo of three kittens gazing at a friendship bracelet bearing Taylor and Travis' names. Their donation will provide lifesaving care and second chances for vulnerable animals nationwide, especially during Adopt a Shelter Cat Month.

Country music legend Dolly Parton expressed heartfelt thanks after the couple donated $2 million to her Imagination Library, which provides free books to children from birth to age five. "It's evident that you two have made giving back a key part of your lives," Parton said in a video message.

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank received $1 million at a critical time when food assistance needs are at an all-time high. Every dollar will help source food for distribution across 137 member agencies statewide. CEO Melissa Cherney called it "a powerful reminder of the good we can do with the support of our community."

The Grammy Museum Foundation also celebrated the couple's gift to their Grammy In The Schools education programs. President Michael Sticka said the donation will inspire and empower hundreds of thousands of young students for years to come.
