Teams Race to Save Stranded Humpback Whale in Germany

A team of marine biologists, environmentalists, and rescue workers has mobilized to save a humpback whale stranded in shallow waters off Germany's Baltic coast. The 13-meter giant found itself trapped in the Bay of Wismar, just a few hundred meters from shore.

Experts from Greenpeace, the German Oceanographic Museum, and the Institute for Terrestrial and Aquatic Wildlife Research quickly assembled a rescue plan.
