Teddi Mellencamp Shows Off Regrown Hair After Cancer Fight

Teddi Mellencamp pulled off her wig on Instagram Thursday and showed the world something beautiful: her own hair growing back after months of cancer treatment.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum set the reveal to the Chicks' song "Not Ready to Make Nice," a fitting soundtrack for her journey. She'd lost all her hair from radiation treatment after doctors discovered melanoma had spread to her brain and lungs.

The 45-year-old was first diagnosed with skin cancer in 2022. Three years later, despite multiple surgeries, she learned the cancer had advanced to stage four.

But here's where her story takes a hopeful turn. Mellencamp shared in October that doctors found "no trace of cancer" in her body after months of immunotherapy treatments.

Now she's tackling the everyday challenges that come with recovery. In April, she asked her followers for styling tips during that awkward hair regrowth phase, tired of wearing wigs but unsure what to do with the hair that was too long for wigs but too short to style.

She's also relearning physical skills many of us take for granted. "I am sort of able to walk in heels again," she captioned a recent video. "Not great but baby steps."
