George shattered the previous record for the highest score while chasing in a U19 World Cup semifinal, surpassing Indian cricket star Yashasvi Jaiswal's mark. He also claimed the all-time record for highest individual score in any U19 World Cup knockout game chase, beating fellow Indian Unmukt Chand's 111 from the 2012 final.

The young opener walked out to bat and immediately found his rhythm. He paired up with teammate Vaibhav Suryavanshi for a blazing 90-run opening partnership, then added another 114 runs with captain Ayush Mhatre to seal India's spot in the final.

George became the ninth Indian player ever to score a century in a U19 World Cup knockout match. His performance ranks as the third-highest individual score in tournament knockout history overall, trailing only Nicholas Pooran's 143 in 2014 and Cheteshwar Pujara's 129 in 2006.
