Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi just rewrote cricket history books with one of the most explosive performances the sport has ever seen. Playing for Rajasthan Royals in Wednesday's IPL 2026 Eliminator, the teenage sensation smashed 97 runs off just 29 balls, breaking Chris Gayle's 14-year-old record for most sixes in an IPL season.

Sooryavanshi blasted 12 sixes and five fours against Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowling lineup, including their captain Pat Cummins. He surpassed Gayle's 2012 record of 59 sixes in a season before the match even reached 10 overs.
