Texas Golfer Farah O'Keefe Sweeps College Player of Year

Farah O'Keefe just had the kind of season college athletes dream about, winning the 2025-26 PING WGCA Division I Player of the Year award after a spotless run of excellence.

The University of Texas golfer didn't just win the award. She earned it with four tournament victories this season and a jaw-dropping stat: top-10 finishes in all 12 collegiate events she entered.

O'Keefe saved her best for last, capturing the NCAA individual championship on Monday at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in California with a two-shot victory. Her four-round total of 12-under par (69-69-68-70) sealed the deal on a dominant season that saw her rise to No. 1 in women's college golf and No. 4 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

But O'Keefe's success extends far beyond campus greens. She represented Team USA at the World Amateur Team Championship in October, helping bring home a victory for her country.

She also competed against professionals at the LPGA's Chevron Championship, where she finished as co-low amateur. Through 54 holes, the college star sat tied for sixth on the leaderboard alongside tour pros.
