Texas Longhorns Win Second Straight Softball Title 4-1

The Texas Longhorns softball team just proved that resilience wins championships.

In Oklahoma City, the Longhorns defeated in-state rival Texas Tech 4-1 to capture their second straight national title. The victory was especially sweet after Texas dropped their first game of the Women's College World Series, forcing them to battle back through the bracket.

The game stayed tight through four innings, with Texas Tech holding a 1-0 lead. That's when Texas turned to an unlikely hero: pitcher Hannah Wells, who had thrown just three innings all postseason, stepped up to keep the Red Raiders from extending their lead.
