For Mohannad Ibrahim Bitar, a Qatari entrepreneur and influencer, the reason is simple. "Just the sheer activity of food gathers people," he explains, noting that meeting for coffee or dinner is how we naturally connect with others.

Thailand's outgoing ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, says Thai cuisine carries something deeper than flavor. "You prepare one Thai dish, it takes your time and your intention," he notes, describing how each dish represents effort and care.

That hospitality resonates in Qatar, where welcoming guests with food runs deep. Jamal AlShebani, co-founder of Bisht Magazine, points to local traditions of greeting visitors with rice, coffee, and dates as part of Qatari culture.
