This Family Has Reunited Every Year for 105 Years

Imagine gathering with your extended family every single year for over a century. The Warner family doesn't have to imagine it because they're living it.

Descendants of Samuel Warner, a 19th century elected official in Wilbraham, Massachusetts, gathered at Spec Pond this summer for their 105th consecutive family reunion. The tradition began in 1919 at Warner's home on Stony Hill Road, where parts of the original house still stand as part of the Country Club of Wilbraham.

"We get together every year, and basically the same group shows up, and they bring their children," said Leslie Warner-Maloney. Relatives travel from Philadelphia, California, and everywhere in between to keep the tradition alive.

This year's reunion held extra meaning. Charlotte Warner-Dennis, who turned 100 in June, celebrated her milestone birthday surrounded by her extended family for the second time this year. She represents the living bridge between the reunion's earliest days and its present.
