Three Hi-Line Athletes Smash School Records in One Day

Three Hi-Line High School athletes made history Tuesday at the Lexington JV Invite, each breaking school records that had stood for years.

Kane Cochrane soared over the high jump bar at 5 feet, 5.5 inches, claiming first place and the school's new high jump record. The junior also finished strong in both sprint events, taking second in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.

Bristol Kubert rewrote the girls' long jump record with a leap of 15 feet, 8 inches, good enough for third place against tough competition. Her jump adds to a strong season that includes top finishes in sprint events.

Whitney Wall broke her own triple jump school record with a mark of 32 feet, 8 inches. The achievement shows remarkable consistency as Wall continues pushing her personal limits throughout the season.

The Bulls competed at Ray Ehlers Stadium in Lexington, where several other Hi-Line athletes posted personal bests and top finishes. Cooper Knackstedt won pole vault by clearing 13 feet, while RiLee Schutz took first in the 100-meter hurdles.
