Toledo Beauty School Offers Free Care for Cancer Survivors

Cancer survivors in Toledo will receive free beauty services next month, courtesy of students and staff who want to help them feel beautiful during one of life's toughest battles.

Paul Mitchell the School Toledo will offer complimentary haircuts, washes, and styling on June 2 as part of Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day. The event is by appointment only, and anyone who has faced cancer can participate regardless of their diagnosis type or when they received it.

The annual celebration started in Illinois back in 2003 and has grown into a continental movement. Today, salons, spas, schools, and communities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico participate in the volunteer effort.
