Topsfield Fair Gives $80K in College Scholarships

The Essex Agricultural Society, which runs the beloved Topsfield Fair, is investing big in the next generation of students and farmers. This year, the organization awarded more than $80,000 in scholarship aid to well-rounded high school seniors across Essex County, Massachusetts.

The scholarships arrive when students need them most. They're awarded during the second semester of freshman year and sent directly to colleges and universities, helping students stay on track with their education goals.

The Society doesn't just manage its own scholarship program. It also administers awards for the Essex County Farm Bureau and the Essex County Fruit Growers Association, expanding its reach across the community.

This year brings even more opportunity. The Charles E. Larner Family Foundation is offering four additional $2,000 awards specifically designed to promote sustainable farming practices, support family farms, and encourage students with a passion for agriculture.

High school seniors can apply now through April 1. The application requires a high school transcript and documentation of activities and volunteer work, all available on the Topsfield Fair website.
