Trenton Restaurants Raise $4,500 for Hospital ER Expansion

When you grabbed a slice of pizza or ordered a burrito in Trenton this March, you were helping save lives without even knowing it.

The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation just wrapped up their annual March Madness fundraiser with $4,500 raised for the emergency room expansion. Seventeen local restaurants donated one dollar from every featured menu item sold throughout the month.

The participating businesses ranged from quick bites to sit-down spots. Boston Pizza, Burrito Guyz, The Counter Restaurant, and Shoeless Joe's Sports Grill all joined in. So did family favorites like McDonald's, Little Caesars Pizza, and Mary Brown's Chicken.

Even the local grocer got involved. Smylie's Your Independent Grocer stood alongside Italian eatery Tomasso's Italian Grille, Korean spot Gogi Korean Grill, and breakfast destination Eggsmart.

The fundraiser supports the Emerge Stronger Campaign, which is working to expand Trenton Memorial Hospital's emergency room. That expansion means faster care, more capacity, and better equipment for families when they need help most.

The Ripple Effect

This fundraiser shows what happens when businesses see themselves as community partners, not just places to eat. Restaurant staff became ambassadors for healthcare, and regular customers became donors simply by choosing local.
