UAPB Baseball Scores 32 Runs in Historic Mercy-Rule Win

The Golden Lions baseball team turned Wednesday afternoon into a hitting clinic, defeating Arkansas Baptist 32-6 in a mercy-rule victory that had fans at Torii Hunter Baseball Complex on their feet.

UAPB set the tone immediately, sending 15 batters to the plate in the first inning alone and scoring 13 runs before Arkansas Baptist could recover. Jose Vazquez started the rally after being hit by a pitch, and Zach Wieder kept it rolling with a run-scoring triple down the left field line.

The second inning brought four more runs, pushing the lead to 17-0. But the Golden Lions weren't finished yet.

In the fourth inning, UAPB exploded for another 15 runs, creating a final score that reflects complete team dominance.
