UK Donates Fire Truck to Ghana's National Fire Service

Ghana's firefighters now have powerful new tools to save lives, thanks to a generous donation from partners across the Atlantic.

UK Fire Aid handed over a complete fire tender and additional firefighting equipment to the Ghana National Fire Service at a ceremony held at Accra International Airport. Deputy Minister for the Interior Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi joined Ghana's Chief Fire Officer Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sapong and several service directors to receive the donation. The UK delegation included Robert MacDougall, Chief Fire Officer at Oxfordshire County Council, and representative Storms Menri.

Officials say the equipment will immediately boost firefighting efficiency and emergency response capabilities throughout the country. The donation comes as part of broader UK Fire Aid support designed to strengthen Ghana's fire and rescue operations.
